Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast, cut into 3” pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 8-10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, minced

Chicken Seasonings:

  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions:

Prep and Skewer Chicken

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. Cut down as necessary to fit into your air fryer.
  2. Combine the chicken seasoning mixture; set aside.
  3. Cut chicken into 3″ pieces. Place in a ziplock bag. Add spices and olive oil and toss well. Let the chicken marinade for about 30 minutes.
  4. Skewer chicken tightly, ensuring no space between pieces.

Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce

  1. Partially melt butter and garlic in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Add red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and parmesan. Whisk until combined.
  3. For basting, scoop out 1/3 of the sauce; reserve the rest for cooked chicken.

Cook The Chicken

  1. Air fry 2-3 skewers at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
  2. Flip skewers, baste with sauce, cook an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Flip back, baste, and cook another 5-6 minutes until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
  4. Finish with a final pass of the non contaminated (from raw chicken) reserved garlic sauce, sprinkle with extra parmesan, and serve.
