One of the most enchanting nights of my photography journey took place in 2023 at one of our favorite RV getaway locations – Orange Beach, Alabama. My husband and I, captivated by the allure of the night sky, decided to seize the opportunity presented by the moon phases.
With my trusty tripod in tow, we ventured to a remote area late at night to immerse ourselves in the celestial wonders. The Milky Way stretched across the canvas of the night, and I couldn’t resist the urge to create a lasting memory. Placing ourselves under the starry expanse, my husband and I became part of the frame.
This particular photo isn’t a favorite because of how we look, but rather for the night it represents. It’s a snapshot of the feeling that washed over us as we stood beneath the cosmic spectacle. The cool breeze from the ocean, the hushed whispers of the waves, and the brilliance of the Milky Way above – all captured in a single frame.
Every time I revisit that photo, I’m transported back to that magical night, reliving the sense of awe and connection with the universe. It’s a reminder that photography is more than capturing images; it’s about encapsulating moments and emotions that linger long after the shutter clicks.
