Bacon Wrapped Zesty Beans

Tired of the same ol’ sides on your Keto diet? Change up those boring green beans, turning them into a beautiful side dish that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the belly. #getinmybelly

What you’ll need:

  • Canned WHOLE green beans, drained. 1 to 2 cans depending on family size
  • Bacon, cut slices into halves
  • Zesty Italian salad dressing
  • Black Pepper

Drain the green beans and place them in a ziplock bag or a bowl. Add Italian salad dressing, enough for them to marinade in. I didn’t measure. Place beans in the fridge overnight. Next day, drain the dressing off of the beans. Take about 8 of the beans, holding them in a bundle, and wrap a bacon piece around them in the middle. Insert a toothpick to hold it all together. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle on black pepper. You’ll bake for about 20 minutes on 375. Just watch to see when your bacon is done. Don’t overcook! These are great right out of the oven. I’ve also heard they are great even as a chilled appetizer.

Next time, I might sprinkle on a little Parmesan cheese when they come out of the oven! However, they were GREAT just as I’ve outlined above.

Kudo’s to my friend Kristie Richardson for sharing her secret family recipe. shhhhhhh!
