What do you do when a canceled event leaves you with a surplus of supplies? You make good use of them and turn them into cute gifts.
With a load of cute jars from the Dollar Tree, an adequate supply of Epsom salt, baking soda, lavender buds, and lavender essential oil, a little DIY was evident. As I tried to sleep, I laid in bed thinking of how I wanted a little “hanger” on the top of the jar. One that would hang down the side, be perforated to hang correctly, and have slots to hold a spoon. I had a few wooden spoons on hand and thought they would make a nice addition to the jar of cute bath salts. I would have gotten out of bed and worked on this new idea, but I was worried I would wake the family. This would have to wait till the next day. UGH.
Today, I went right to the laptop to design my idea. I was only off 1/4″ on one section of the design. A slight modification and it was perfect. The stars also aligned as I went to the Dollar Tree to pick up a baby shower gift card today. I looked over and saw the perfect scoops. A scoop for using bath salts would work better than the spoons. They are in the wedding utensil area.
